Project „Forests of the Northeast“ stakeholder meeting
A meeting of stakeholders under the project „Forests of the Northeast“, LIFE 19 NAT / BG / 001133-LIFE IASHAB is held today on the territory of the Northeast State Enterprise. At the regional meeting held in Dobrich, the project manager will present its main parameters, as well as the goals of today’s meeting. The Director of State Forestry – Dobrich Eng. Tsanko Nikolov has prepared a lecture on „Creation, functions, condition and importance of forest protection belts for local ecosystems, agriculture, forestry and hunting“, and Eng. Martin Ivanov, Chief Expert at the Executive Forestry Agency will present a presentation on the expert analysis „Strategic and normative documents regulating the activities regarding the protective forest belts and invasive alien species“.
By the end of the day the participants in the first stakeholder meeting will see another presentation by Eng. Todorov „Results of the analysis of climate change and the expected impact on vegetation in Northeast Bulgaria. Significance and future role of forest protection belts in the conditions of changing climate „, and eng. Nikolay Vassilev, expert „Forest Policy and Analysis“ at the Executive Forestry Agency will present the project LIFE 18 / NAT / BG / 001051″ Measures for protection of the little bald eagle and its habitats in Bulgaria ” under which SIDP is an Associated beneficiary.
The meeting was opened by Eng. Petar Ganev, LIFE IASHAB project director.
