776 decares is the autumn afforestation on the territory of the North-Eastern State Enterprise this year. In the spring, new forests and belts were created on an area of 972 decares. Soil preparation in most farms has already been completed and after the end of the growing season, afforestation has started.
The largest number of new forests and belts will appear this fall on the territory of the Balchik State Hunting Farm – 256 decares, followed by the General Toshevo State Forestry with 144 decares and the Varna State Forestry with 102 decares. 100 decares will be reforested by the employees and workers of the State Hunting Farm Sherba, 79 decares in Dobrich, 47 decares in Omurtag, 41 decares in Popovo and 5 in the State Forestry Preslav.
The afforestation of the territory of the North-East State Enterprise is carried out according to measure 8.4 and the two major European projects on which the enterprise works – „The Lands and Forests of the Eagle“ and „Forests of the North-East“. A total of 1,748 decares will be afforested this year on the territory of the regions of Dobrich, Varna, Shumen and Targovishte.
