Forests in Bulgaria and climate change
The territory of Bulgaria is afforested with artificial forests, created mainly in the middle of the 20th century. In the bare and rocky places, the afforestation’s are mostly with pines, but the coniferous species are not typical for the altitude and the climatic conditions in Northeastern Bulgaria.
