Children create and learn together with the Forests of the Northeast
Some 50 children from Radost 1 Kindergarten in Omurtag took part today in a Forest Pedagogy lesson organized by experts from the Northeastern State Enterprise and Omurtag State Forestry Unit. The kids learned a lot about forests, how to protect them from fires and not pollute our greatest nature wealth.
During the classes, each of the young students made their own wooden locket and completed some of the tasks set in the „Forest Book“. Thanks to the textbook, the children learned which trees are coniferous and which are deciduous, how we define the life of more than one tree and what people use felled wood for.
At the end of the lesson, the forest educators promised the children to visit them again to tell them more interesting and important things about the forests and their inhabitants.
The lesson is part of the Forests of the Northeast project implemented by the Northeastern State Enterprise.
